Alison calming voice and insightful comments based on her own personal experience as well as input from listerners make this podcast my favorite of all. I think of these episodes like finding whiskers from a beloved cat who died, in a rug tucked away. A memento of what was said, what was soft, in this lonely strange anxious time.
Invokes a deep sense of soothing (even her voice) and of conscious connection beyond us. Yet, her topics ground us as sentient beings connected to one another.

A reflective, poetry-forward show that blends intimate readings with personal storytelling and literary context. Episodes span public-domain works and contemporary poets, weaving themes of belonging, resilience, memory, and community. The host's warm, calming voice and thoughtful commentary create a comforting space for listeners navigating life's rough patches, loss, and everyday grace. Notable for its strong emphasis on accessibility to poetry (public-domain readings, poet bios) and for creating a tight, writerly atmosphere that invites listener reflection and mutual support.
