If you are a whiskey nut, this is a must listen. Mark is not particularly likeable and his jokes are horrible but he does being a lot of important news. The reviews on products that advertise for him is such a red flag. Most real journalists would find a way to be unbiased… but maybe in this new world, journalists are all biased? He inserts politics way too much as well. I’m glad he stopped the2x a week format. Was not added value. Must be listened at 1.5x speed. Update: there are other podcasts... more
Great podcast. I was hoping to hear Marianne come the podcast. I had to look at their ig account only to find that she’s no longer there. How sad that you didn’t mention her since she was there from the beginning and came on “Neat” showcasing Kentucky bourbon. What gives?
The host has some good interviews and insights on the industry but I find he can be over apologetic. He will often lean hard to the left on supposed gender equality issues bowing to the woke. Of course this has been over much of the last two years at which I have turned away from many of the shows. His over exaggerated humility and weakness about COVID coupled with the tone of his voice was all I could stand, and had to turn this false bowing to lies off.
