  • Two old people trying to remember things

That actor from that programme. The one with the hair who used to be married to the one from “Buck’s fizz”

No not her - maybe Brotherhood of Man or Bananarama.

    The one that liked Thatcher?

  • They have been away for a while but they are back, been a fan of Carol since Tickle Your Trout and Nick is everything that radio and podcasts can be. Their relationship is superb and I certainly would need a code word with Carol. Without doubt the best podcast available (ok second after The Newsagents).

  • Boring now!

I think it’s now done every subject at least 3 times.

And the stories from N&C are just repeating themselves every few episodes.

Plus Nicks obsession with the ‘right wing’ just spoils the show.

It’s meant to be a general chit chat show, not a party political broadcast from Nick!

  • 🌟 Superb!! 🌟

I’ve been a devoted listener of Nick Abbot on the wireless since the early 90s, and he never misses a beat. He’s incredibly funny and stays true to himself, always leaving the listener a bit smarter than they were before. I love the dynamic he shares with Carol - they make a wonderful, hilarious team. If you haven't checked out this podcast yet, you’re missing out!

  • Great show

Disappointing that there is suddenly no show for a month, no doubt while Carol is off on holiday again (lucky her!) Maybe Nick should get a stand in while she’s away rather than the whole thing being cancelled for a month?!

Click clack, not thunk thunk
Q: What is your take on asking neighbors about their children?
It's neighborly to inquire, but it could be seen as nosy if not approached delicately.
Click clack, not thunk thunk
Q: How do I stop myself drinking every day?
Consider enjoying your holiday and balance drinking with other activities.
Click clack, not thunk thunk
Q: What mid-range restaurants do you recommend?
You could try Granary Square or Brasserie Zadel; both offer good value.
Click clack, not thunk thunk
Q: Do you think I've overstepped the mark?
Yes, overriding the non-wishes of a dead person is really, really bad.
Bleary-eyed and staggering
Q: Have you ever been called darling or dear or young lady or young man? How did it make you feel?
It depends on who's doing the calling. If it's an old person, then it's appropriate, but if someone about my age does it, it's insulting.
