A story from a decade ago about a veteran patient with terminal cancer who chose not to pursue aggressive treatment, went home to play guitar with his wife, and expressed appreciation to a medical student for being a warrior on his behalf, which deeply impacted the student and became a meaningful example of sacred moments.
