  • Too much giggling

Keep it informative. I don’t know what you’re laughing at. I don’t understand your inside jokes but it’s uninteresting. use a better mic. Edit your Podcasts and redo it if it sounds crappy like this one did.

Pyversity with Thomas van Dongen - Weaviate Podcast #132!
Q: How do you see the line between diversification algorithms and topic modeling?
Diversification algorithms are faster and can efficiently handle real-time scenarios, unlike clustering algorithms which may be slow and complex.
Pyversity with Thomas van Dongen - Weaviate Podcast #132!
Q: What are the different algorithms in Pyversity and how do they differ?
These algorithms, like MMR and DPP, differ in how they balance relevance and diversity, with DPP optimized for volume in the embedding space.
Pyversity with Thomas van Dongen - Weaviate Podcast #132!
Q: What brought you to work on Pyversity?
I needed a library that implemented maximum marginal relevance properly, as I had rewritten it multiple times and found no existing solution.
REFRAG with Xiaoqiang Lin - Weaviate Podcast #130!
Q: What future directions for AI excite you the most?
I think right now the Agenetic is really one direction that I feel is most exciting for me, because that's actually one of the reasons why I wanted to work on this project.
REFRAG with Xiaoqiang Lin - Weaviate Podcast #130!
Q: What do you think about the limits of this compression?
The initial idea is to use one single embedding for the whole chunk... if you exceed that 32 compression rate, you would have a major performance degradation.
