Could be a fun concept for a podcast sadly the dynamic between the hosts prevent the show from being anything more than banal bantering. There's a pretty clear Paul bias to these reviews not surprisingly. Which can be gratting, especially when listening to the reviews of the other members solo work. What a joke. They spend half the time revealing they haven’t researched the facts, don’t know the music (Beatles or solo) or just insulting the music. Not super enjoyable to listen to.
I’m late to the party discovering this podcast but I’m so glad I have. It’s been amazing listening to these guys entertaining musings and been fun re-visiting the fab four’s solo endeavours.
As a 50 something beatle nut I should hate this podcast with some of their factual inaccuracies and ramblings but I don’t … I love listening to it and promoted me to re-evaluate my views. I’d never have thought I’d rate Wildlife as one of my favourite post Beatles works.
Please keep this podcast going … ... more
The concept is great reviewing all solo recordings in chronological order, but too much talking over each other and just noisy and the singing is a big No. One person is all that is needed.
Love this podcast! A funny but respectful view of Macca’s work plus the version of ‘she’s my baby’ was excellent! Great work!
