  • Helpful Guides for Someone New to Middle Earth

I saw the Lord of the Rings movies in theaters when they were first out, but I had never read the book until now. With Zach and Logan as my guides, I am learning much about the story and Tolkien! I read a chapter and then listen to their enthusiastic commentary about it before moving on to the next one. Halfway through now, and looking forward to the rest!

  • I laughed I cried

Zach and Logan are incredible hosts! They strike a perfect balance of wit humor and fun with profound and heartfelt insight into one of the greatest works of literature. My review title isn’t hyperbole! As a lifelong fan I appreciate their contextual knowledge from the Silmarillion, Tolkien’s biography and commentary, and secondary scholarship. As someone who still hasn’t read all that outside content myself, they never make me feel lost or overwhelmed, which I appreciate.
