  • Free coaching from geniuses

Honestly half this content should be paywalled because it’s SO valuable it’s like free 1:1 coaching with Xanthe & Kaitlyn! They share transparently what they’re desiring, what’s blocking them, and support each other with their unique POV/expertise. Plus, with both of them moving abroad this year, I relate hardcore to finding your footing in a foreign country and appreciate all their life updates / casual chats in the beginning. Always a fun AND educational listen!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Wanting Better B-Roll (Guest Episode with Olivia Bossert)
Q: What should people consider when deciding whether to lean into a more complex content format or keep it simple?
If the more complex format impedes message clarity or viewer comprehension, simplify; the goal is to maintain flow and enjoyment while delivering a clear message
Wanting Better B-Roll (Guest Episode with Olivia Bossert)
Q: What is the one thing to focus on when creating video content?
Eye contact and good lighting are core; facing a window and ensuring the subject is clearly visible makes the first clip engaging and sets the tone for the rest of the video
Wanting Better B-Roll (Guest Episode with Olivia Bossert)
Q: What is actually in Olivia's content system for a week in the life?
She plans a week or two in advance, uses Notion for mapping messaging to visuals, creates simple B-Roll with captions, and batches filming when visuals are needed; posts are scheduled in advance via Later to avoid panic posting
Wanting Therapy and an OBM
Q: As someone developing curriculum for the first time by compiling my life's work into a strategic set of workshops, how would you suggest approaching launch if you want to deliver before curriculum completion?
Assess the outcomes you want to achieve, focus on the core transformation, and be willing to release a lighter, iterative version first. Use a clear sales page and a defined buffer to manage live versus recorded content, and allow space to iterate based on feedback.
Wanting More Aligned Branding and to Get Comfy Being Disliked
Q: Long time listener, first time questioner. When does a Substack make sense in a business versus a self-hosted blog or email list, and how do you decide what goes where if you want a mix?
Both hosts agree that containment and anchor content matter; Substack is strong for community growth and built-in engagement, while a blog serves SEO and owned media, and newsletters via a platform like Flowdesk offers deeper segmentation and sales tracking. The optimal approach is to anchor content to a core message and distribute across platforms based on each platform's function, not just its format.
