John Densmore and Miribai Bush could be considered and are for me, modern western elders of a tradition upon whose shoulders present and future generations rest. That’s a long sentence for a review of an episode that points at the value of silence in art, music and life.
What a privilege to be the invisible third person at the table as Miribai and John ‘circle the live wagons’. Love is the heart of this episode. Humility, caring, gorgeous depth of being, don’t be fooled there is so much more h... more
As I gently glide off a few hundred micrograms of LSD and a beautiful journey in my headspace and heart space on the land where I live in England, I settle down to listen to the gentle and loving voice of Mirabai Bush. I cannot help but feel warm and happy and I wish she was my mum :) x x
An intimate and heartwarming journey through the depths of John Densmore's feeling for the arts of music and poetry. Hearing him and Mirabai in conversation one senses the Love they speak about come through in their friendship; the kind tones, the laughter, the pauses - all are music to the listener, a gentle and lovely podcast to brighten these dark times.
As a death worker and a person who plans to die someday, date TBA haha, I am very grateful for Mirabai and Ram Dass for their collaborative tapping into the human expression of grief and wonderment in death. I look forward to this podcast and am joyed to hear John Densmore, an influence musically since I was 10 years old. Wonderful!
