My goal in this podcast is to share valuable and actionable tips on what I call the “Core Four” - mindfulness, movement, habits, and growth - so you can build a life that feels true to you. I will be interviewing people who have had a “wake up call” - their good on the outside life wasn’t working anymore, and what they did to ch... more

I did a terrible job of telling you something this month. On February 8th the podcast celebrated its THIRD anniversary! Three years has gone by so fast, it's hard to believe. I appreciate each and every one of you for supporting this show.

It can be an overwhelming feeling when a relationship has lost intimacy. It can be even harder to figure out how to get it back. Contrary to popular belief, it’s not as simple as having a weekly date night or scheduled sex on the calendar. We need to... more

Last year, the most listened to episode of the podcast was about how to calm yourself down when you are in an anxious state. This really stuck with me. It shows me how many of us are still struggling with anxiety and want to know how to feel better. ... more

I absolutely love this podcast!
I am someone who suffers from imposture syndrome in a sense that I tend to put so much on myself, suffering from perfectionism and the superwoman mentality which means I become inadvertently overwhelmed. This podcast is a safe place, it helps me evaluate myself and be more organized in thought and being okay with where I am in my current life and taking things one day at a time.
On dsys when I need a little bit more, this podcast is a gentle urge to smile, drink some water, check on myself, and keep moving in a good direction. No hustle culture here, just a lot of real talk about sustaining ourselves, healing our thoughts, and choosing better.
Thank you for bringing to light relatable experiences and content. I love listening to you!
This podcast was recommended to me; specifically episode 48, A Practical Guide for Choosing Progress Over Perfection in 2022. I’ve been looking for self improvement, self help aids, etc. and struggling with anxiety. This came a perfect time when I really needed it and was really struggling. In fact some episodes I’ve listened to multiple times and have taken notes. So THANK YOU for this podcast!!
Alicia’s podcast The Wakeup Call speaks to me with every passing episode around how to manage the real life messy stress and anxiety a lot of us (including myself) deal with and gives me tangible things and advice I can do to help improve that stress and anxiety! She’s humble, warm and makes you feel instantly connected! And has had some really powerful guests on as well but my favorite episodes were her candidly sharing her personal journey! Enjoy! It’s a must listen!
