विवेक बहुत सम्वेदनशील गणितज्ञ हैं, उनकी सम्वेदनशीलता उनकी रचनाओं में झलकती हैं. जैसे आप आव्हान को देखें-एक मासूम स्कूल के बच्चे की उत्सुकता कि २१वीं शताब्दी कैसी होगी से प्रारम्भ होती है और वो सपनों की राजनीति की सच्चाई देख दुखी हो जाता है। हम में से कई श्रोता इस पीड़ा से रूबरु हुए है-विवेक ने उस दौर की यादें को हरा कर दिया है.
विज्ञान के छात्र होने के कारण विवेक की सम्वेदनशीलता Utopian नहीं हो जाती-वो समझते हैं की परिश्रम का कोई विकल्प नहीं और बिना प्रयास कोई उद्यम सिद्ध नहीं होगा.
