The guys do a deep dive into the story of King David, putting that in conversation with the track's reflections on the universality of death. Real fun stuff! This is an underrated track, full of super interesting theological and existential reflectio... more

These guys bring so much light to these songs. As a Christian, I listened to these songs with a certain framework and it’s amazing to have my framework either affirmed or challenged in the best of ways.
There is a sense of humility among the three that they know when they are definitely pushing the boundary which is greatly appreciated.
I’m a huge fan. Can’t freaking wait for Ten Stories season. I just don’t see how the episodes won’t be at least 2 hours. Great work.
I thought I knew what the expression “getting into the weeds” meant, but then I listened to this pod! The detail they go into gives so much more life to the songs and band I’ve followed since their first album. I don’t think every theory they discuss lands (and I bet they’d be the first to admit that), but their conversation and expertise make for listening.

Wow, what a weird podcast that is for me and my flannel bros. I found this in the days following their farewell show.
Love the look at one of my favorite bands from their perspectives: musicality/theory, philosophy/theology!
Thank you and keep up the great work!
