Trust is the core friction; you need clear authorization, secure data, and better data sources so that agents can act with confidence without exposing consumers to risk or liability.

Q: Caroline, why did you choose to front the research and what surprised you the most about the data?
The study uses real shopping sessions to separate what people say from what they actually do, and it revealed that discovery and early-stage research are heavily influenced by AI, sometimes more than the final transaction.
