Great podcast. I mistakenly started with WW2, however, look forward to starting over with the Great War-“Great War”? In retrospect, what was great about it?
This podcast sheds so much more light on many details I’d never learned. The narrator does an excellent job, the guests are very good and add much more detail. Very enjoyable. Please do more. Thank you.
Hugely insightful and well produced! Touched on many issues that aren’t covered in other, more traditional historical narratives. Well worth a listen.
Michael Baker has created an excellent series of podcasts giving us discussions with ten historians on very interesting new views on key aspects of WW2. Well worth listening to.
An excellent eye-opening series, broadening the focus so that we get to understand the global nature of WW2. For me it showed up the narrowness of most education on the topic. V good choice of interviewees, and I appreciated Mike’s calm, clear questioning.
Thought-provoking and enjoyable. Stimulating contributions from eminent historians, with excellent intros and link passages from Michael Baker. If you are interested in WW2 and indeed contemporary politics, you should listen!
