Cindy’s views on life, love and dating are exactly what we need to hear at this point in time.

She has a way of getting to the heart of any issue and speaks with both directness and grace. Her podcast shows a deep understanding of human nature. Oh and she is hilariously funny.

She is unapologetically herself (as she should be!) and while as a white woman, I’ll never fully be able to understand her experience, there is so much any woman would be able to relate to.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

DEAR CINDY: I STARTED MY HEALING JOURNEY AND I HATE IT!
Q: I'm 32 years old and on paper, my life is finally coming together, but I don't like who I've become. What should I do?
Validate the feeling, reframe the situation by recognizing growth has changed relationships and environments, and elevate by seeking new communities and routines that align with the evolved self—while setting and honoring boundaries to protect peace.
DEAR CINDY, MY MAN IS JEALOUS OF ME!
Q: I've been dating my boyfriend for almost three years, and for the most part he's been supportive of my goals. The problem is that my goals are finally starting to become real. How should I handle this transition?
Validate the caller's feelings, then propose a candid conversation to map out a new normal. Ask him directly about his vision for the future, how available she will be for him, and whether he genuinely sees her goals growing with the relationship. If his answers lack detail or indicate insecurity, set clear boundaries and consider whether the relationship can adapt or if it may be best to part ways.
TIKTOK CONTROVERSY: 70 AND JUST LEARNING WHAT LOVE IS?!
Q: What do you get when you sit prominent black men at a roundtable to discuss black women and reproductive justice?
A whole lot of social media think pieces, including mine.
TIKTOK CONTROVERSY: IS SHREK A CAUTIONARY TALE?!
Q: What are your thoughts on what I'm calling hyperfeminism?
She expresses concern that hyperfeminism may lead to women missing out on healthy relationships by overly focusing on negative portrayals of men.
TIKTOK CONTROVERSY: IS SHREK A CAUTIONARY TALE?!
Q: Do you think Shrek is a cautionary tale?
Cindy Noir argues that Shrek is not a cautionary tale and emphasizes the importance of emotional fulfillment over material gain in relationships.
