UK column has been a great source of information over the years but I am unsubscribing due to their recent relentless attack on those of us who know the UK weather is being manipulated with SAI. The UK tax payer is paying for their water to be poisoned and their food and now their sky and it is safe to say it has been going on for many years. Good bye UK Column.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Everyone Deserves a Fair Trial | UK Column Interviews
Q: So if you could talk us through, as this is your area of expertise, what would it look like to you to have a fair trial for men who are accused of rape, and how does that compare to what actually happens in Scotland?
A fair trial would involve hearing all relevant evidence, including past acts and context, evaluated by an impartial judge and jury, without premature assumptions of guilt; the current system, in contrast, often restricts evidence in ways that, in the guest's view, biases outcomes and undermines due process.
China, Iran & Trump: The Real Agenda | Silk and Steel
Q: Carl, let's start with the biggest question: is the Iran War really about Iran or is Iran just one front in Washington's wider struggle against China?
Carl argues that the Iran conflict is heavily interwoven with strategic competition against China, citing historical plans and current alignments as evidence that Iran serves as a hinge in a broader attempt to constrain China's rise, while also noting internal U.S. pressures and interests that push toward confrontation.
A History of Corporate Control: The East India Company | UK Column Interviews
Q: Did the East India Company have direct influence over media and press at the time?
Dalrymple suggests it's possible journalists were for hire and that the Company could sway narratives through official and private channels, especially after events like the Bengal famine, though he notes he hasn't fully examined press control in the period.
A History of Corporate Control: The East India Company | UK Column Interviews
Q: What does it say about British history that a statue of Robert Clive sits outside the Foreign Office?
It signals a long-standing link between corporate/private power and state power, illustrating how privately driven imperial ventures shaped public institutions and economics long before modern corporate lobbying was formalized.
Trump Didn’t Understand Xi Jinping’s Warning | Silk and Steel
Q: What is the significance of Tseng Liwen's remarks in Taiwan, and what might this signal about Taiwan's future orientation?
Tseng Liwen's statements articulate a rejection of turning Taiwan into a U.S.-backed battlefield and push for repairing ties with the mainland, suggesting a potential shift toward pragmatism and a more flexible stance on independence amid economic pressures.
