Owen is going through his emo phase, Tosh gets the AI powered up and Gwen takes pizza to work (after drugging Rhys) Just a normal day at Torchwood then.
Three people come through the rift from the 1950's and Torchwood is there to take them to a hostel right away and then to Asda. In this episode we talk the Millennium Stadium, Boxing Day coaches and Owen's flat.
It's a bit of a 'Torchwood Lite' episode this week as we follow normal guy Eugene and his interactions with Gwen. We talk Cardiff Museum, a new VHS Guy and the harsh little brother.
Suzie is back and we're excited to see her. There's chat about some of the latest Who news before discussing this weeks episode. We chat ISBN, script ambition, out of date sunglasses and gauge Gwen's annoyingness level.

I’ve listened to a lot of Who podcasts. Some better than others. I dipped into this one as I like the premise. Went for one of my favourite stories ‘Curse of Fenric’. They both seem really nice people. But Mark coming to review a story set in WW2 which features the Russian army and not knowing which side Russia was on during The Second World War is… not great. And when Sarah said she fell asleep twice during the watch.. I’m not giving my time to listen to a review when the person reviewing it ha... more
Really enjoying this! Lots of laugh out loud moments! Very helpful info about the missing episodes and background details. But not too much- each episode is a good length. So strange to watch The Ark episodes in 2024, when they were watching/ recording the podcast in 2020, during covid. And this was filmed before star wars- the crazy 60’s!
I’m updating some of my reviews and wanted to say how much I love this podcast. As Who podcasts go, this is peerless and is the most interesting. I’ve listened to a dozen other Who podcasts and only a couple get remotely close to the high standards set by this. It only seems like a few months ago that I pressed Play on the very first episode, and now here we are going through the 90s spinoffs and other assorted features.
For me, the strongest part of the podcast are the two hosts. Sarah and Mar... more

One of those podcasts I go straight to whenever a new episode appears in my feed. A straightforward format that’s always a fun and breezy listen thanks to the entertaining dynamic between Mark and Sarah - and l always prefer a Doctor Who show where Doctor Who doesn’t seem to be the hosts’ entire frame of reference.
Sarah’s very-first-time observations on episodes often entertainingly upend the received wisdom that Mark has lodged in his fan-brain. No shade to Mark - the ghost of Peter Haining h... more
