    I understand that pharmaceutical companies can’t earn any money by addressing root causes.

    Regarding the question that was addressed at the end of the podcast, I feel badly for the person who posed the question. There are known root causes. The simplest thing to do for the person with asthma is to first remove all the usual suspects from the asthmatic’s diet — gluten, dairy from conventionally raised cows, grains (especially GM corn and soy), and sometimes lectins.
