A look at events, trends and people important to Anglo-Charedim, through the eyes of two rabbis with moxie. One is a newbie to Israel - Rabbi Yitzchok Adlerstein - the other a veteran - Rabbi Simi Lerner. And if that's not enough for them to disagree, they'll interview interesting folks, who may or may not be rabbis or rebbetzins.

  • Fantastic but Inconclusive

Fantastic - so appreciative of this podcast! What a podcast should be … actual back and forth, topics that stand on the pinnacle of the world … except in the episode on purpose of Torah it was not clarified how acc. to R’ S.R. Hirsch learning intricacies of whether one can “be mefagel with a Chatzi Matir” integrates into Torah as narrative and mission … please do a follow up !

  • Excellent

Such a refreshing look at the chareidi/yeshivish world today. It is incredibly validating to see these two esteemed, highly intelligent, eloquent, and genuinely frum individuals share views similar to my own; I no longer feel like a kofer for holding certain views of daas torah, etc. Thank you for what you are doing and please don’t stop your enriching conversations.

Rabbis Adlerstein & Lerner provide a unique viewpoint that is not at all reflected in the mainstream Jewish discourse — that of two Anglo charedim on the Israeli scene who are willing to take a critical view of their own community without in any way disassociating themselves from it. The topics and people discussed and debated are very “inside baseball” and most people who care about these subjects... more
