  • Short and sweet

As a listener of many boardgame podcasts it’s refreshing to have a podcast in a format that is just short, sharp and to the point. Every episode is informative with no time wasted and it feels like normal board game conversations you would have with friends and family rather than some of the more heavily produced podcasts fantastic. An essential lesson and the one podcast I’ll always make time for as soon as I see a new episode emerge

#106 - Warhammer in the Military and weird card games in the RAF!
Q: What plans have you got for the space above the shop and the community you're building?
The plan is to install five to six game tables in a Gaming Café above the shop, host teams matches for regiments, and be flexible to accommodate smaller tables for card games or terrain for skirmishes as demanded by the community.
#106 - Warhammer in the Military and weird card games in the RAF!
Q: So why don't you introduce yourself and let us know how on earth you got to this point here.
Pete Hodson explains that he's the co-owner of Battle Pads Hobby Shop, located on Catterick Garrison with his father, and that the store emerged from a desire to bring gaming to people living on a large military base while leveraging the family business footprint.
