Had to stop listening, the hosts fundamentally misunderstood two major, explicit and overt plot points (reiterated with character dialogue) in Alien: Earth. This led to them not really saying much of substance, just saying fluffy things like “I can’t wait to see more of him!” - they clearly don’t understand the show, the characters or their (onscreen, stated (!)) motivations to date.
There are tons of podcasts out there with huge alien fans as hosts - skip this one.
I love the way Jen and Sarah break down tv and the fun they have with expressing their thoughts on the shows they are watching. Their perspective is so unique and helpful with enjoying a character, a scene, a moment and an episode a bit more. High recommend
These ladies take time and care to think though their thoughts before getting on mic. It’s appreciated, too. It allows them to give insight rather than flippant takes. It’s great that they cover one show all the way through.
The host dynamic was quite charming as was the subject matter despite the fact I haven’t even see the show. Solid audio quality! If you like True Detective and fun, this is the show for you!
