While this started as a podcast, it is now the audio from a YouTube show. That’s probably where the money is, so I don’t blame Rob. You miss an out on a bit without the video, but it still works as audio only.
Rob’s frequent reminders of how well connected he is and how often he is right does get a little tiring but you can always skip ahead when that happens.
Sadly, it isn’t up to the standard of TV BlackBox.

Miss TV Blackbox. McKnight tonight is obnoxious concocted faux outrage and grandstanding.
When do we change the name to Seven’s Blackbox?
Rob is annoying & petulant but he has a producers sense of pace and punch. He’s never boring and the podcast is lost without him. Robbo seems genuinely likeable but he uses all the words to say very little. A sharp, debate-heavy takes on TV and media industries, with a focus on Australian broadcasting, industry upheavals, and behind-the-scenes production practices. Episodes frequently dissect media ethics (joke theft, on-set behavior), executive moves (exec departures, station sales), and the evolving landscape of free-to-air and streaming, often pairing insider analysis with pop-culture headlines. The host leans into candid, sometimes provocative commentary and panels, drawing on deep media connections to illuminate both industry dynamics and celebrity-era storytelling. A standout trait is the willingness to tackle controversial topics and to pull apart how edits, branding, and corporate decisions shape what audiences see on screen. This show... more
