今回の巻のヒロインは末摘花。身分が良い、一人暮らし、後ろ盾なし・・・と源氏くんが好きな要素がてんこ盛りです。でも不思議なことに彼女は源氏物語きってのブスキャラとして描かれているのです。長い長い源氏物語には数多の女人が登場しますが、彼女ほど異彩を放つ女人がいようか？いや、いない。(反語)
