今からおよそ10年前
大学を卒業しフリーターをしながら
ギタリストを目指していました。
セッションに行ってみたり
オリジナル曲を書いてみたり
先輩から色々教わってみたり
色々やったけどどれも上手くいかなくて
周りがどんどん結果を出していく中で、
自分だけが取り残されていくような感覚があった。
今思えば単純な実力不足だけど
当時の心境としては絶望的だった。

それとも“仕事”にするか。
これは僕自身、これまでに何度も考えてきたテーマだし、
今でも相談をいただくことが多い内容です。
今年で33歳。
音楽専業として、結婚も子育ても経験してきた今だからこそ、
改めてこの問いに向き合ってみたくなりました。
音楽を仕事にすることで得られるもの。
音楽を仕事にしたからこそ失ったもの。
どちらも、リアルに存在しています。

海外に行く予定なんてないし、
日本で暮らすのに英語なんて必要ある？
って本気で思ってた。
