As someone who has listened to this podcast for 9 years or so, I can say that this sentiment has not changed. My gaming tastes, playing habits, and platforms of preference have evolved, and yet this podcast still remains an important part of my listening habits.

  • Just Fun To Listen To

I always smile when I listen to this. The banter is much appreciated. It’s three dudes who love games talking about games and the ones they love. I enjoy hearing more than one opinion (my own) on a certain game or console and this is more than sufficient. I would pay for this (please don’t make me).

Top Down Perspective 18/09/25
Q: At what point does a hard game cross the line to become unfair?
It seems hostile towards the player, and in the case of Dark Souls, unreadable situations can be unfair. Mario Sunshine has some bullshit moments but overall is more annoying than unfair.
Top Down Perspective 07/08/25
Q: What's a food you love but aesthetically looks unappetizing or unappealing?
Mole, which is a Mexican chocolate sauce that looks unappealing but is delicious.
Top Down Perspective 07/08/25
Q: What comes to mind when I first say the word groovy?
Ash Williams from Evil Dead, as he has that iconic moment where he says 'Groovy' after getting his chainsaw arm.
Top Down Perspective 26/06/25
Q: What would you think of the game if the story was untouched? The gameplay was substituted by match three gems kind of gameplay?
Yeah, maybe even more so.
Top Down Perspective 02/07/25
Q: What are some other common video game things that wouldn't occur to someone new to the medium?
Clicking the sticks in, using both sticks at the same time, and wall jumping mechanics.
