  • Excellent content and host!

I’ve followed Patrick on Twitter for quite a while now, his content has always been great, a lot of it is funny too! I’ve watched many of his videos on YouTube also, it’s clear he is a talented creator, so I had to check out the Podcast! I’ve enjoyed many of the episodes but still have quite a few to catch up on but I really enjoyed the episode about shooting in .jpg and the most recent episode about TikTok.

Excellent content across several platforms, thanks Patrick 👌🏼

Grieg Fraser discusses PROJECT HAIL MARY
Q: What was it like to design lighting around circadian rhythms for a ship environment?
Fraser describes researching lighting for circadian effects, choosing daylight-like skylight implementations, backlighting adjustments, and mood-forward lighting that supports the narrative while avoiding a sterile look.
Grieg Fraser discusses PROJECT HAIL MARY
Q: Can you tell me about that?
Fraser explains the rationale behind the 'Greig vibe' and how a dedicated operator helped shape the visuals, emphasizing collaboration and the balance between prepared plans and on-set spontaneity.
Everyone said this movie would fail ft. Sophy Romvari director of BLUE HERON
Q: What advice do you have for filmmakers working with limited resources?
Prioritize joy in the process, embrace constraints as a creative force, and focus on making the work rather than chasing traditional big-budget norms; authenticity and consistent effort matter more than chase for scale.
Everyone said this movie would fail ft. Sophy Romvari director of BLUE HERON
Q: How do you approach the editing process to preserve the film's intended rhythm?
The editor collaborated from pre-production, assembling sequences during shooting and shaping the final cut by removing non-essential dialogue while preserving organic, character-driven vignettes.
