  • Farewell, Tony

I was very happy yo subscribe to this podcast having been a fan of Tony’s since the ‘90s. I was so happy he was podcasting and thinking about the future. I’m absolutely gutted we lost him. The work I’m doing in the first quarter of this year, I dedicate to Tony Slattery. Farewell, Tony. You are loved.

  • I’d just finished all the episodes

I’ve been loving this podcast and I’m just trying to find a link to subscribe for the stuff I’ve not heard. It’s been a joy to find this pod. My favourite episodes were Julian Clary and the Hacker one. But the bit I found really touching was Tony saying he makes a point of telling Mark every day that he loves him. That melted me.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Robin Askwith- "Is He Talking About Dwarves?"
Q: Did the fact that you got polio send you off in a different direction?
Yes, it gave me drive, but not at the time because I just had to try harder.
Simon McCoy- "The Look Of Just Sheer Bloody Horror"
Q: What do you think about the current political leaders?
It's beyond parody and understanding; we're living in a time of career politicians without conviction.
Simon McCoy- "The Look Of Just Sheer Bloody Horror"
Q: How did you manage to follow etiquette as a Royal Correspondent?
I didn't always manage it, especially when mishaps like the fire extinguisher incident happened.
Sylvester McCoy- "Rather Than Wear A Skirt..."
Q: Is there any temptation to write a biography, Sylvester, of the family and get everything out there for you?
Yes, I did actually try once quite a few years ago to start it. But then I got to a point and I don't know why...
Sylvester McCoy- "Rather Than Wear A Skirt..."
Q: Can I ask them, because we're talking about law of central government, but when I think of you as a performer, anarchy comes to mind. What was it like performing during those anarchistic days?
Yes, especially Tizwas, because that was anarchistic. I used to meet on Friday night in the bar, everyone got drunk, and in the morning had a hangover.
