  • Great for gaming nerds

This is only the second podcast I’ve found that dives into gaming culture based in Japan (8-4 is another good one). Really excellent cross section of my interests. Would love to see a dive into more obscure Japanese gaming (similar to the WonderSwan episode).

The Untold History of Japanese Game Developers with John Szczepaniak, Balloon Kid, Öoo
Q: What inspired you to start The Untold History of Japanese Game Developers?
A combination of wanting to prove the Japanese development scene had depth beyond the well-known figures, the accessibility of long-form interviews, and a Kickstarter that allowed me to travel to Japan and collect unheard stories.
