Love, love, love this podcast! I like the style, the storytelling and how the facts are spinned into a story. I like the banter and their commentary. I just love these ladies and their podcast.
Love, love, love this podcast. I like their style and how they spin the story from the facts. I don't mind the swearing or banter, I think it gives more likable character to the podcast for them being who they're and not sounding like a professionally written audiobook that sounds like someone is reading it straight from the paper. It's a conversation style podcast after all where the hosts' personalities are supposed to show and I like their personalities and opinions.
I really hoped this podcast would be good reading some of the reviews - I was wrong. I started at an episode >200, thinking at that point any kinks would be ironed out and production would be decent. Sadly not. The content is very clearly not rehearsed at all before it’s recorded and the writing has poor flow. Pronouncing victims names incorrectly and making a joke of the fact they don’t know how to say it correctly - very disrespectful. Making light of mental illness. Lots of “ums” and long pau... more
I just started listening to these lovely women...I especially love Shannon's sarcastic comments scattered throughout the story when she's doing the 'listening'.
One thing though....I do usually fast forward past their pre-story banter to get right to it.
I’d give 4.5 stars if it was an option. These 2 explore some cases you haven’t heard elsewhere. They bring legal experience and actual case document info into research lending much more credibility. Sometimes I’m a little thrown off by the conversation style but the content quality mostly makes up for that.
