A podcast is a form of broadcasting. The performances of print journalists forced into service as broadcasters harks to the uncomplimentary expression of yesteryear, "He has a face for radio." While I don't listen to every single episode, these are some of the most entertaining interviews that I've found as Podcasts. The questions are (almost) always intelligent and insightful, and the guests have been quite good. I enjoy the talks and learning more about the featured guests, but Lynn Hirschberg is so ingratiating and a sychophant. She fawns over her guests and can't stop talking over herself. Another success from the NY Times! I was enthralled by the interview with Stephen King. I hope that all of you readers and listeners continue to support the Times so we keep getting these gems. (I have no connection whatsoever with the Times other than being a subscriber.)
This is great. I heard about these interviews. I am iTunes have them. I do wish it was on video. Helen Mirren is the best. I do agree with other people who also did reviews. It is casual, and just talking. Which is great. Doesn't sound like the normal interviews.
