  • She’s doing amazing work

I’m a single parent of a trans daughter without a ton of community. Tilly’s podcast approaches difficult topics with empathy and passion. I use her shows as a jumping off point for conversations with my kid, and she helps me feel more connected to the trans community as a whole. I cannot thank her enough for the work she’s doing for all of us, cis and trans.

  • Weekly affirmations

I listen every week. It’s nice to have a podcast with representation that I can identify with. So many LGBT podcasts these days only last a few episodes, glad this one has stuck around. Keep up the good work.

Interview with Nicole Maines about Dreamer

Interview with Nicole Maines about Dreamer
Q: As I talk so much on this show about representation in media, what is the landscape like for you out there as an actor trying to find roles?
Nicole describes a troubling decline in trans representation and auditions, notes the industry's instability post-COVID and strikes, and discusses how even when opportunities exist, they're often cis-centric or require compromise on authentic trans storytelling.
Trans Panic
Q: Remember the first time you heard about transpanic?
Riley reflects on realizing it is a real legal defense and the emotional impact of recognizing that someone could justify murder based on gender identity, which underscores why awareness and education are critical.
Performative Allyship
Q: Before we get too far into things, I wanted to ask you Riley if you have experienced moments of real true cis allyship that changed things or made a situation better for you.
Riley shares a range of moments where allyship intervened in a non-dramatic, protective way, such as a bystander stepping in during a threatening situation, and notes that genuine allyship often comes from practical actions rather than words.
