This podcast seamlessly weaves human experience, culture, science, and wonder together through brilliant storytelling grounded in place. Each season gives me so much hope and wonder for our amazing planet. It leaves me thinking.
From the storytelling, sound design to post production, this is the epitome of nature documentary in audio format. Every episode is like a magic box that delights, moves and transfixed me every time I open it.
I cannot describe the disgust I feel when people try to put humans outside of nature. Do you not realize the things you are saying are tantamount to the religious trying to put humans above and outside of the natural world? Delighted to have found this extraordinary podcast series. It opens windows and doors wide, into exploring and understanding our daily lives within our universe, in expanded and profound ways. It is investigating and communicating findings of a high order.
In awe of a podcast that brings to life both the intensely human UN COP climate meetings process (couple seasons back) and the beyond-human soundscape (current season). Unforgettable, indispensable.

The episodes center on environmental storytelling that blends science, policy, and human experiences to explore how landscapes, wildlife, and communities intersect. Common threads include climate justice, conservation, and the emotional and social dimensions of ecological crises, often framed through in-depth interviews with researchers, policymakers, indigenous and local knowledge holders, and practitioners. Noteworthy aspects include a strong emphasis on listening to nonhuman voices, cross-cultural perspectives, and a commitment to thoughtful, hopeful storytelling that connects place, justice, and action while unpacking complex trade-offs in climate and ecological policy.
