  • Best photography business podcast out there!

I have been listening to TCBTH since the beginning. Practical, actionable episodes that always leave me with things to think about and steps to take to accomplish a new goal. I was thrilled to be invited as a guest for Episode 203 — The Art of Fine Art School Portraits with Lindsey Turner. Thank you Annemie for all you share to lift up other photographers.

  • Finally!!

Finally found a podcast about photography business that is relatable, up front, and easy to digest/implement. I'm just listening to as many as quickly as I can. It feels like listening to a friend who is actually interested in your success. And it's awesome to see her implement all the tools she's teaching on her own website and marketing. I would recommend this podcast for anyone who wants to make their photography business more manageable, profitable, and enjoyable.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

368 - Airtable for Artists: Tech that Works With Your Brain with Ashley Rose
Q: What makes Airtable different from a traditional spreadsheet like Google Sheets?
Airtable functions as a connected database, where multiple tables reference each other and build cohesive client profiles, enabling a centralized source of truth rather than siloed data across different apps.
360 - SEO in the Age of AI with Corey Potter
Q: What role do social profiles and local directories play in being discoverable?
Be everywhere with consistent messaging across profiles (Facebook, Yelp, Instagram, YouTube, etc.). Join relevant professional directories to signal expertise, and use editorial collaborations to earn mentions and links that Google and AI can trust.
360 - SEO in the Age of AI with Corey Potter
Q: How should photographers approach the AI-overview era and ranking in AI searches?
Aim to be present in AI overviews by aligning content with nuanced queries that AI tends to summarize. Use structured, explicit content and avoid relying solely on AI. If you're ranking well organically, that helps your AI overview visibility; otherwise, craft content to target specific, less competitive queries.
360 - SEO in the Age of AI with Corey Potter
Q: What do we gotta do on the other side, Corey? What's the magic sauce on our websites, on our blogs? Like, how are we reaching those people when they are Googling or querying?
Start with fundamentals: design pages that target specific searchers, create specialty landing pages for each niche, and build a clear page hierarchy (H1 for main topic, H2s for subtopics, etc.). Then focus on page titles and actionable content that aligns with what the searcher is seeking, while ensuring consistency and proof across the web.
357 - Financial Organization: Peace of Mind is Priceless with Tiffany Bastian
Q: What is the first step you recommend for better financial organization?
The first step is to separate personal and business finances to gain clarity on revenue and expenses, helping manage finances more effectively.
