Q: What is the importance to you of the physical fabric of the building and the preservation of that?
Theatres are living, breathing, working buildings, and while it’s important to preserve their history, adaptations may be necessary to keep them viable.

Q: Can you explain what the Theatres Trust is and what you do?
The Theatres Trust is the National Advisory Public Body for Theatres in the UK, set up by government in 1976 to protect theatres for the benefit of the nation.

Q: What do you think sound design lends to a show?
I think with the kind of design I like to do is that it can hold the space and it can hold the audience, but it doesn't get too sentimental.
Tingying Dong
Q: How do you go about making those decisions? Because that's a really wide range of different shows at different places, different styles of show.
I think because relatively I'm still sort of in the early parts of my career, and the things just sort of happened really fast for me.
