The Volume Knob is the songs that saved your life. Every Monday, host Keith Serry asks his guests to tell the story of how music changed, inspired, soothed and moved them. The result is a music show that's less about chorus and verse and more about the ways that music makes us feel. The results are sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes side-splitting and always relatable.

I didn’t like how the host tried to reframe what Ray was saying, and that kid at the end was annoying. But thank you for prompting Ray to share another terrific story.
What a singular, generous celebration of music and storytelling! Featuring the best of the North American storytelling community, the show curates heartfelt, and poignant stories all of us can relate to. Beautifully mixed with perfectly timed excerpts of each episode’s life-changing song. And the outtake with Keith’s kids keeps it real and never disappoints.
Totally couldn’t sleep last night. But with this podcast, I didn’t care. Because lying there listening to 4 episodes straight, beginning with Matt storss’ I felt so absorbed in the stories about key songs. It was so cool how it caused me to go through my own life and the music that has played a part. I love this concept, combining story and music. Love it!!!
Great personal stories told with vulnerability, strong writing and production, good tunes, and the hot takes from the host’s kids at the end are hilarious. A solid listen.
Thoughtful interviews bring out meaningful, human stories about the songs that save our lives. Great for anyone who likes storytelling or music.
