  • Blows hot and cold, and I hope you like adverts.

First and foremost I want to say Dan is an excellent host and clearly loves Villa. When there’s something going on at Villa then he’s in there early, the episodes with Tanswell on are always fantastic.

However there is a *lot* of filler. Sometimes you’ll get a twenty minute episode with seven or eight minutes of adverts and some of the episodes where there’s not a lot to say feel like they exist only to deliver the aforementioned adverts.

I get that people need paying for their time but th... more

  • Great when Tanswell’s on

This is a brilliant show when Tanswell’s on, but steer well clear when Dan has no guests and - in-between countless ads - gets himself into a lather over whatever the issue of the day is. Can be a genuine mood-killer.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Club Brugge v Aston Villa: What Can We Expect From Villa in the Champions League?
Q: Have you got a score prediction for us, Jonathan?
The hosts are leaning toward a balanced result; a plausible forecast is a 2-1 Villa win, with a competitive performance that suggests they can impose themselves but still be wary of Brugge's cohesion.
Jacob Tanswell on Aston Villa holding talks with West Ham over Wan-Bissaka.
Q: Jacob, La Bomba has just come out. Big transfer news just broken by Tanswell as you were sat next to me at a bar. What is it?
The discussion centers on Villa's interest in Wan-Bissaka and the evolving context, including valuation and whether a loan or permanent move is more viable, with ongoing uncertainty about other swoops like Paulina and Rogeri.
🚨 Replacing MacPhee, Kamara Return, Fake Injuries & Your Aston Villa Transfer Questions!
Q: With Pau injured and clubs circling around concert, is Kebassi Say going to feature for us in defence this season?
Right now it looks like a large portion of pre-season squad decisions will carry through to the domestic season; Kebassi Say may get some involvement depending on injuries and squad shape, but it's still being shaped as August approaches.
Jacob Tanswell's BIG Aston Villa Transfer Update- Garnacho, Konsa, Palhinha, Mbaye and more....
Q: What are the main factors keeping Konsa at Villa or pushing him toward a move, and how likely is a sale if Arsenal meet the valuation?
Konsa is in the final years of his contract with two years left, and Villa would consider selling if Arsenal meet a high valuation. The decision hinges on whether the clubs can agree on terms and whether a suitable replacement can be arranged quickly.
Transfer Q&A: Lost Respect for Rogers, Jackson UEFA Problem & Leon Bailey Worry
Q: Are we going to be in a position to challenge for Europe?
The host suggests that after recent signings, there could be five more moves and an emphasis on a competitive squad capable of Europe, while acknowledging it depends on further departures and how well the new players settle.
