Our first RPG Club game has come to an end, and we have a chat about our experience with the Dragon Quest III: 2DHD Remake and discuss why we hope this is the first of many from Square Enix.
The celebration continues, as David and Casey pick up the discussion in the PlayStation era in video games and chat about the greatest RPG moments in the early 3D era.

Welcome to The Thirsty Mage, the Inn to rest the party of your mind. Put on a pair of fuzzy slippers, stoke the fire and lean gently back in a preposterously high backed chair. Sip on a premium ale why don’t you (no one else will) and relax as the regulars soothe your weary soul with their unique home brew of informed discussion, bleary eyed nostalgia and anticipatory hype. Long live the Thirsty Mage!
I enjoy the background and structure of each game they discuss. It’s an interesting listen and happy to be a subscriber. 👍
Happy to see such a great show from fellow Canadians.
I really like the main crew of David and Jordan, but every time they have Paige on she ruins the entire episode, mumbling through the entire episode, she is the worst to listen to. I’d give 5 stars were she never on any episodes.
Excellent episode and really enjoyed the breakdown of some of the SaGa games. If are interested in some obscure JRPGs, this is a great intro episode to spark with.
