  • Going Downhill

For the first time ever I actually switched off part way through an episode. I've been listening hoping that Ross would be back but from what was said today, that's not going to happen anytime soon.

I definitely miss his contributions. They are family so had a unique history and dynamic that added a really interesting and entertaining depth to the conversation.

The production was also much smoother and much more professional and in tune with the history of the pod and the listeners when Ross w... more

  • Good listen but worsening

Really do hope Ross back soon - new guy nowhere near as good. Comments about adverts all justified, having frequent breaks of 3/4 mins adverts is a lot

  • Prefer it without Ross!

Ross’s laugh doesn’t join the conversation, it hijacks it. It blasts in like a foghorn, lingers way too long, and somehow makes every joke feel like it’s being oversold. Big David Brent energy, especially when he’s got that “please laugh with me” intensity (like Finchy is just off-mic hyping him up.) You don’t hear the punchline, you hear Ross reacting to the idea of a punchline.
