The Theology Pugcast is three over-educated Reformed guys grumbling about what bugs them, and sometimes even barking about what they like. The show usually is recorded in a pub--that's why there is some background noise on occasion. The topics can vary widely seeing as the Pugsters have different spheres of knowledge and interest, but common themes which appear regularly include the transcendence ... more

These guys are the best thing going.
They are often speaking just above my level which is the place where learning happens. I love it. The humour, the friendship, the mutual respect, the wisdom! It’s quickly becoming top of my list of podcasts. A model for all good discussions.
Was a worthy listen. Appreciate his work on Negative world. Would not go to him for questions on theology. I’m a hard “no” on anyone propping up Francis Chan, or Mitt Romney, as examples to be followed.
A wonderful show where three wise and educated men talk about God and His world. I have grown in my thinking from this show and have started from the beginning and making my way to the present. I must applaud Chris, Glenn, and Tom for their dedication to this show and sharing the beautiful view of God's enchanted world in which we live. Thank you three very much and God bless you. I will pray for your continued wisdom and teaching as you go through life.
This is not an “every episode” podcast for me. … I mean, who has the time? When a topic is relevant or interesting, I'll listen. And they never disappoint. Their podcasts are thoughtful, informative, and encouraging. It makes me wonder if this is what the conversations between Lewis and Toklin sounded like.

Three highly educated hosts from a Reformed perspective riff on philosophy, theology, culture, and current affairs with a mix of historical depth and practical application. Episodes span literacy and culture, AI in religion, human rights from a Christian viewpoint, critical theory, art and morality, ecumenism, and contemporary religious ethics, all delivered in accessible, long-form conversations. Notable strengths include scholarly rigor balanced with approachable storytelling, guest contributions from theologians, historians, and artists, and a penchant for tying ancient wisdom to modern issues in a pub-like, flagship discussion format.
