  • Quite good

This podcast was a cracker back in the day and Theo Delaney is still terrific. But the latest episode with Steve Perryman was like listening to an old man shouting at the clouds. Questioning medical science because “we were tougher in our day” is a load of old tosh. Steve was a terrific leader and captain in his day. A legend. But his monologues now are quite tedious.

The show is what you would expect from a couple of aging legacy fans. They spend 50% of the time talking about the glory days and 50% complaining about the current team in every way possible. For some reason they believe that sitting on their butts in the stadium or at home in front of the TV makes them both football experts and mind readers. They constantly project their own miserable negativity onto the team and assume reasons and motivations where no evidence exists for those assumptions. ... more
