  • Useful for teachers, not directly those who need it

I’m trying to find help for my own speech, unfortunately this resource is only designed for teachers/speech therapists, and doesn’t help someone directly who is trying to fix their own speech. And also, children aren’t the only ones who need their speech fixed, I hate that 90% of resources are only geared towards children when I’m struggling with relationships and success because I have a hard time with speech.

  • How amazing is Char?!?!?

As an auditory learner who binges podcasts on a regular basis, I am THRILLED to have the option of listening to a podcast for SLP PD. More importantly, the episodes I’ve listened to so far are wonderful - high quality, practical, easy to follow, etc.

Char is a phenomenal host who asks insightful questions that are clearly based on real-world SLP experiences. I recently finished the episode that featured Rachel Arntson from “Talk It, Rock It.” It was phenomenal! Thank you!

  • Please provide more extensive show notes!!

Since I usually listen to the podcast while I’m walking or driving, I’m not able to write down key information and I end up forgetting it which makes actually remembering and implementing what I learned very difficult. Especially since these podcasts are offered for continuing education, it woul... more

SLPs should come from a space of ethical considerations regarding their competence and embrace a growth mindset to improve their therapy approach. They need to identify their weaknesses and actively seek solutions step by step.

Q: Why do you think that tactile therapy is so effective?
Tactile therapy is effective because it helps students gain awareness of their tongue's position and movement, which is often lacking. Once children can feel their tongue, they become more cooperative and able to execute the speech skills being taught.

Q: What if a graduate student is just not finding success in a particular setting?
