Every month, CHR and Doug discuss six heavy metal albums: two newer releases, one indie/small label band, and one classic album. Their different ages, backgrounds, and tastes make for some interesting takes on a wide variety of music.

It’s Doug’s last main episode, so CHR gifts him the ursine onslaught of Chicago’s Bear Mace, while Doug opts for the heavy groove of Sweden’s Orbit Culture. CHR picks a conceptually unusual indie pick with South Africa’s Incarnate Deity, and Doug us... more

...Itunes probably can't handle the heaviness of the 5 METAL stars that this amazing podcast deserves! Although the two hosts "El Goro" and "SonOfOdin" said in one of the episodes that they did not care for Itunes reviews, Tommy am going to give them one anyway.
In short, the hosts choose two fairly current metal albums to review. One indie metal album to review and one older metal album to be inducted into the honorable halls of the Metal Valhalla.
The chemistry of the two hosts is amazing. ... more
This podcast is awesome. I've spent the last few weeks getting caught up on the back episodes (which should be in the podcast app). Each episode has a ton of variety and their reviews are thoughtful. True metal fans.
Just wanted to take a minute to show some support for this Podcast. Been listening for a while now and El Goro and the Son of Odin put on a highly entertaining show each month. What keeps me coming back is the great chemistry between the two hosts. Lots of fun banter and a great sense of humor throughout the show. I listen to many genres of music but this is the only "music" themed podcast I consistently check out. Good job guys and thanks for what you do.
If you love metal music this is a must listen! These guys know what they are talking about.
