Great reading of the material that really gets you involved. The stories are well worth your time and well written. The audio production (music, effects, etc) are great too!
Jack Ward's tireless efforts to showcase audio drama in all of its many forms remain criminally overlooked. There has been some incarnation of this show going on for a good fifteen years now. And every summer, The Sonic Society opens its doors for the Sonic Summerstock Playhouse, where modern audio drama producers make new versions of old radio plays.
This is one of the longest running podcasts that not only plays their own works but also that of others, both the new and well known. Excellent collection and often introduces new podcasts works that make you want to subscribe to others. Besides anything with David Alt (cohost), must be good. A must have!
I can't believe that I'm writing a review now after listening to the Sonic Society for so many years, but this podcast is a staple that has accompanied me throughout my life since the podcast began. The only con I can think of is that the episodes slowly take up harddrive space because I've never been able to delete any one of them; they're just too valuable.
