  • Exceptional podcast for Soldiers leaving service

This podcast has been a revelation and extremely helpful in preparing for my separation from the military. I’m active duty Army and retiring from a “remote” duty station not near a military installation. I listen to the podcast to and from work and take copious notes. Then take advantage of the resources and the recommendations are on point. Great host, excellent guests and extremely topical for all Soldiers!

  • #1 Military or Veteran podcast!

This is the best podcast available for members of the military, veterans, and their family members. I listen to a lot of podcasts, and rarely review them, but this is a solid 5 stars. 20 minutes is the perfect amount of time to learn something new, with new and interesting topics that are relevant to me but also general enough to apply to everybody in the military and veteran community. Great job!

S16E9 Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) 101
Q: How much does SBP cost and how can you tailor it?
Costs depend on the chosen category and base amount, with six and a half percent for spouse coverage, adjustments for adding a child, and lower costs for child-only or insurable interest categories; you can adjust the base amount to compare premiums against retirement pay.

S16E10 Is the Survivor Benefit Plan Right For You?
Q: Patty, now that our audience knows all about the Survivor Benefit Plan from our last discussion, how do Army families decide whether to participate?
