  • Love this Podcast! Recommend!

    I met Andy through Screenwriting Twitter! He’s hilarious and kind, and I really enjoy this podcast. It’s so fun to hear interviews with people I’ve also encountered on Screenwriting Twitter. I love hearing about the habits and routines of other writers. Inspiring, motivating, and entertaining. I have definitely laughed out loud when listening. :)

  • Still a 13 yr old at 40

    The juvenille profaanity and working out his insecurities with another artist's time is just a waste of time for the listener.

    Listening to Rebecca, who was so patient and tolerant, was painful.

    I learned more about Compton's neuroses than Rebecca's process.

    AC: Learn to be a listener when interviewing...

    Learn to curb juvenille profanity nearly every sentence.

    No exec will tolerate you.

    Listener: Don't bother...

I usually write rough outlines and log lines to determine if I know the story well enough before starting the first draft, which typically takes two to three months.
