Disappointingly limited. I knew not to expect a deep discussion since the episodes are only a few minutes long, but I hoped for at least a concise overview that would teach me something quickly.
What I really like is that Dr. Gurr keeps it really simple but still manages to give great, prolific insight. I'm a depression sufferer who has recently had a pretty bad relapse recently and have been finding it less and less manageable in the past few months. I'm a South African guy looking into seeking help but really just required expert affirmation before figuring out what to do. This has really helped me in learning about the various aspects of my problem and also some solutions. more
Dr. Gurr knows how to get the right guests to tackle the right subjects. He's doing us a great service by offering this podcast to all of us for free. As a fellow podcaster of a self-help podcast, Gluck Radio, AND as a NYC life coach and hypnotist for 35 years, it takes a lot to fascinate me, and Dr. Gurr's podcast is one of them. From one Dr. G to another, Great work! -Dr. Gluck of GluckRadio
This series of podcasts is an excellent way to learn more about psychology, psychiatry, mental health, and counseling topics. Dr Gurr covers a broad range of topics so there really is something here for everyone. The podcasts have become more substantial as time has gone on and I especially enjoy the guest interviews in the more recent podcasts. I plan to check out Dr Gurr's other podcasts after I finish the entire Shrink Is In series. Thanks to Dr Gurr for posting these.
