From prospects to the big show, the Short Shift Podcast aims to bring you a balance of educated analysis & opinions on Boston Bruins hockey -- and do so befitting of the most rabid, and sometimes overly critical fanbase in the NHL. The SSP is where veracity and fanaticism smash. Cynically acclaimed. Incredibly online. Chirp us on twitter @shortshiftpod.

Does this team actually fuck? The Bruins just wrapped a great road trip despite the OT loss in Dallas to end it. 7-2-1 is just an incredible start to the season. And now Marat signs an extremely team friendly extension just adding to the positives ar... more
Aight folks, we're all back at it. Bruins are in the middle of a west coast swing and it's a great time to reflect on the start to the season this team has had. McAvoy is back. Poitras is exceeding expectations. And is Minten driving the wagon? (You ... more
Aight folks, Andrew has been temporarily abandoned but calls an audible. Kind of like a reverse Dylan Larkin situation. GET IN.

Top tier Bruins Pod. Love that they allow us to chime in leave voicemails, send fan mail, and the banter is great. When the megaphone goes off in the discord, it’s music to my ears
One of the few hockey podcasts I can actually enjoy and listen all the way through. The dynamic between the hosts is truly one of a kind (even if most of it is just Thomas babysitting his two sons). But you can tell all three hosts enjoy what they do and have fun doing it. When they don’t go off on random tangents (usually because of Ian), they are actually very informative when covering the Bruins, or the NHL as a whole. Can’t recommend this podcast enough (although I would recommend Andrew a d... more
I checked it out...I am intrigued as to why the Bruins keep winning...but happy about it. This podcast didn't mention the Bruins in the first 14 minutes. Their chatter was all about the Devils.

my favorite episode was the one where Andrew wears wolf ears + a maid outfit and goes “uwu”! truly such creative talents! i just wish Ian would drink more beer during the pod.

A brisk, opinion-driven hockey show centered on Boston Bruins analysis, development, and the broader NHL landscape. Episodes blend deep tactical talk with lively banter, fan questions, and humor, often exploring prospects, trades, coaching moves, and the team's playoff outlook. The hosts balance data-driven takes with personality-driven discussion, creating a sense of community for hardcore Bruins fans and hockey nerds alike. Noteworthy is the recurring emphasis on player development paths (Providence to the NHL), front-office decisions, and the culture around the team, all delivered with a casual, locker-room vibe that invites listener participation.
