Recently stumbled across this, apparently between seasons. Extremely enjoyable and informative, promisingly on its way to Karina Longworth depth and breadth. Grateful for a couple of new gems I’ve been introduced to and racing to catch up and rewatch everything, because I’m really looking forward to future seasons!
So informatiive!
… of a podcast, served up by the lady who literally wrote the book on screwball queen Carole Lombard.
Listening to the good doctor joyfully deconstruct these comedy classics makes me feel like I’m lounging around the house in a bias-cut white satin gown with matching marabou-trimmed slippers circa 1936. A must listen for classic film fans!
I just listened to the Lubitsch episode and enjoying it immensely. I look forward to the other episodes.
the screwball story isnt just a podcast, it’s a lifestyle, a reason to breathe, an escape from this cruel world filled with thieves. It's art, the first gift you open on Xmas, a hug from a loved one, everything you've ever wanted, everything you need.
