  • Binge worthy!

Langdon Moss is a remarkable storyteller! His tone, expertise, and vivid descriptions of the Wild Wild West bring history to life as he weaves relatable imagery and scenarios that bridge the gap between the rugged 1800s and us twenty-first-century listeners. One of my favorite moments comes in the very first episode… the one that got me hooked… when he describes how Native Americans, upon seeing guns fired for the first time, may have thought they were “weapons that shoot lightning.” So good!

  • Amazing find!

All-time favorite history podcast!! Super deep history. Really well researched. Incredibly engaging narration, told in a unique way that goes beyond dates and names and makes history relatable. I haven’t found anything quite like it out there, particularly for California and early western history. Highly recommended.

  • Dan Carlin esque

If you enjoy a Hardcore History style podcast, I’d definitely recommend this one. The cadence is a bit slow for me so I listen at 1.25 speed, but your mileage may vary. Give this one a shot!
