  • Honest examination of team.

Love the detail in the post autopsy. Never doom and gloom or over the top optimism. Obviously these guys know their stuff and each brings a different perspective to the team’s efforts each week.

If your interested in the whole club of afl aflw vflw vfl this isn’t the pod for you ! Maybe name change to the male only bulldog disappointing 1-2 mins out of an hour isn’t much to ask and the women’s teams are a big part of what makes the club who it is !

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Fan Q&A - Round Five
Q: What is the optimal approach to game plans against multiple opponents?
The consensus is for a primary plan backed by a flexible secondary plan that can adapt to different styles, rather than maintaining an overly complex matrix of plans.
Fan Q&A - Round Five
Q: Would Norton be better used as a ruck option or elsewhere?
They propose testing Norton as a relief ruck to provide a different look and to switch up the attack when matchups are tough, while acknowledging the risks and load management concerns.
Fan Q&A - Round Five
Q: Should the Bulldogs blood in a younger ruck or keep relying on English?
The hosts discuss weighing a two-ruck system against sticking with English, suggesting trying a mature, experienced partner (a 'mature ager') or exploring a forward-ruck mix to relieve English and add versatility.
Fan Q&A - Round One
Q: Jay Wills asks if Ed Richards' Montepeli duo is the best one-two punch the club has ever had.
The hosts acknowledge the strength of recent iterations, comparing Richards and Bond to past combinations like West and Johnson and suggesting the current pairing could be among the best, though noting there is a long season ahead to judge fully.
Fan Q&A - Opening Round
Q: What changes do you think will be made, if any, to the lineup for the next game?
The general sentiment is that if there is just one change, it would be Sanders for Jones, and there might be consideration for adding an extra runner if Croft is not selected, but the exact choice depends on fitness and performance grounds.
